Go wild...

AND DISCOVER ULUGURU

Camping in the mountains

The Uluguru mountains are found close to the town of Morogoro. Uluguru is known for its clean water coming from different peaks, that eventually even supply Dar Es Salaam with water. It's a beautiful mountain range with some fifty small villages of mostly farmers, who grow delicate fruits like strawberries and raspberries. More to the top you can find a prehistoric tropical rainforest that among others has multiple varieties of giant ferns. An amazing thing to see!

Your itinerary

DAY ONE

At 7:00am we pick you up at your hotel or home in Dar Es Salaam. From there we drive in five hours to Morogoro where we have lunch and start our three-hour hike. We hike through the villages while we tell you the stories of the people and their culture.

Just before sunset we arrive at our campsite: a place called Morning Site. Here you will find the most breathtaking view on Morogoro. While you relax and take in this magnificent view we prepare your dinner and set up the sleeping facilities.

DAY TWO

We will have a breakfast. The hike to one of the summits of Uluguru mountains will start right after breakfast. We will also have a chance of going to the waterfalls found in Uluguru mountains. And that will be a never miss chance for those who love to swim and get wet on the mountains. We will have our lunch with us - of course.

DAY THREE

We have breakfast, pack up our things and make a nice hike back to Morogoro. Here we have lunch before we drive back to Dar Es Salaam. At around 6:00pm we drop you off at your hotel or home with - we promise you - some beautiful memories in the pocket!
